Don’t Look Back is an instrumental rock record, and has been described as a mix of Joe Satriani meets AC/DC while hanging out with Pink Floyd having a beer with The Beatles.

2020 was already a pretty crazy time for me, following a major (and quite unexpected) life change and planned reinvention of myself. But that reinvention came to a grinding halt when the pandemic struck. Like others, it left me with feelings of being lost, of uncertainty and doubt. Maintaining my mental health became a challenge I never expected to face. Outwardly I seemed my usual cheery self, but I was drifting into negativity. I was lucky that I recognised this early on, and I consciously began a journey to maintain my mental balance and reclaim my ‘inner peace’.

These songs are a chronicle of my feelings, thoughts and experiences through a journey that began in darkness and took me back into the light. There’s a real story and meaning behind each one, which I share in the videos and notes on my site (www.zenrigs.com/music).

Don't Look Back is a message, to myself, of hope and positivity - and a reminder to us all to always look forwards, stay strong and never forget the power to shape our destiny and live a life of contentment is in our hands. Oh, and also a reminder to enjoy the journey!
